THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE CELEBRATION -

SEPTEMBER 20-24/2011

Whistler is celebrating the second annual International Day of Peace on September 21st/2011, with several activities through out the week.

First we will gather in the village center on Tuesday, September 20th at dusk – 7pm for a candle light circle/meditation and the Whistler Children’s Chorus.  Meet us at the Fire Pit in the Olympic Celebrations Plaza for this gathering.  Purchase your 100% pure Beeswax BC candles from Honey Candles when you arrive and enter to win a prize.
n the evening, Wednesday, September 21st at the SLCC we will be presenting two screenings of the film “The Day After Peace” a Peace One Day Production by award winning film maker Jeremy Gilley.   Against all odds an individual creates an annual global ceasefire/non-violence day.   The Day after Peace is a moving testament to the power of an individual and the perseverance of the human spirit!

WMN.fm online radio station will be on location at each of Whistler’s Grocery store: Give your donation to the Whistler food bank and Canadian Red Cross – Horn of Africa by purchasing a raffle ticket for a chance to WIN A DAY OF PEACE IN WHISTLER … we have some very exciting prizes – Whistler/Blackcomb 5 Day Edge Card Passes, Scandinave Spa passes and much more…
