MENTAL/EMOTIONAL FACTORS
What’s worrying you? Is it your Job? Worried about Finances? Having difficulties in relationships? Concerned with world events? Feel a low sense of self?
WHAT YOU CAN DO NOW
Step outside and breathe from your diaphragm. Light a candle and massage pressure points such as your temples. Do some gentle yoga to bring your focus on the present and be grounded. Write your thoughts down to get them out of your head or speak to someone you trust. Take a warm lavender oil bath or apply rosemary or Clary sage oil, burn some incense or smudge the energy around you with sage.
SPIRITUAL FACTORS
Are you experiencing inner conflicts? Do you have feelings of confusion or that you feel lost? Is there stress, fear and misunderstandings with your belief system? Do you feel lonely and uninspired?
WHAT YOU CAN DO NOW
Be quiet. Take time for yourself every day, even if it’s just before you go to sleep, or when you’re driving home. Be open, Spiritual experiences can happen anywhere at any time. Practice being non-judgmental and having an open mind. Be receptive to pain or times of sorrow, as it is often in these times when we discover how spirituality can help us cope. Practice forgiveness, Pray, meditate or worship, imagine living joyfully Allow yourself to believe in things, that aren’t easily explainable.
CHEMICAL FACTORS
Did you skip a meal? Chemically stimulated by caffeine, etc. in your day? Are you experiencing low blood sugar or a sugar high? Are you experiencing anxiety? Are you feeling fatigued and foggy? Do you have Adrenal Exhaustion?
WHAT YOU CAN DO NOW
Eat a snack such as an apple or pear, some cheese, cottage cheese or yogurt, whole grains, whole-grain granola or oatmeal, fresh steamed collard greens. Drink a soothing herbal tea, such as chamomile…
Ask your doctor to check for your levels of cortisol and adrenal health, be sure to replace the calcium, magnesium and vitamin C to balance the stresses.
ENVIRONMENTAL & PHYSICAL FACTORS
Is someone or something threatening you? Is someone yelling at you? Are you stuck in traffic? Are you in physical pain?
WHAT YOU CAN DO NOW
Focus on your breath, breathing in for the count of 4 and breathing out for the count of 7. Hydrate yourself drink some water or herbal tea with anti-inflammatory qualities like chamomile or lavender. Eat a snack bar to re-establish blood sugar levels. Close your eyes for a few minutes to relax. Try to see the situation as an opportunity to learn something about yourself
